Position Summary:
Odyssey is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Responsibilities:
Duties includ e, but not limited to:
  • Provide resources with knowledge and experience in Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) design, test, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition life cycle to include: reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) requirements development; RAM program planning, and; development of reliability growth models to ensure designs meet system requirements (including both hardware and software reliability).
  • Have knowledge and expertise in design-for-reliability techniques to include: reliability block diagrams; allocations and predictions; circuit analyses; fault tree analysis; cost trade-off analysis; change point analysis; accelerated and highly accelerated stress testing; highly accelerated life testing; environmental stress screening; physics of failure analysis, dormancy/storage analysis; warranty data analysis; Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process, and; familiarity with reliability growth software tools.
  • Have knowledge of maintenance and sustainment engineering principles, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, statistical methods related to test design and analysis, and the ability to generate reliability analysis reports.
Additional Duties:
  • Conduct reviews on armament programs portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved.
  • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective actions using application of engineering principles; perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures.
  • Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
  • Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processes.
  • Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based on engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.
  • Provide proposal analysis support services that compare and quantify proposed systems, components, approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness; provide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing: Initial Capabilities Documents; CDDs; CPDs; AoAs; Military Utility Assessments (MUAs); CONOPS; Technology Development Strategies; Functional Configuration Audits/Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs), and; Technology Standards Profiles.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance : Secret
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of professional experience; OR a Master's degree and three (3) years of professional experience
  • Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
