WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Sanitation Assistant, you’ll be responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope. Additional duties will be to perform all actions/responsibilities as described in company-controlled documentation for this position.
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with corporate policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe working environment within the facility and property surrounding the premises.
Maintain adequate inventory of janitorial supplies and equipment.
Provide general housekeeping duties in a timely, effective, and professional manner, including but not limited to:

• Cleaning Common Areas, Production Rooms, Washrooms.
• Cleaning of production floors, walls and ceilings.
• Special cleaning projects requires weekend.
• Be able to use chemicals in a safe manner.
• Prepare and mix chemicals in accordance to SSOP.
• Assist in cleaning of production equipment.
• Clean production drains.
• Refilling of chemical containers and labeling.
• Cleaning documentation and chemical sanitizer testing.
• Perform routine tasks on a regular basis in accordance to a Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Assist in assuring adequate sanitation/cleaning supplies are available and properly stored.
• Support team in continuous improvement process/focused improvement projects.
• Assist production in keeping a clean and orderly manufacturing area.
• Adhere to production color coding.
• Sanitation room one point owner (cleaning and keeping organized).
• Report any and all sanitation deviations to leadership team.
• Support sanitation operators in cleaning.
• Stripping/Mopping/Waxing Floors.
• Trash Removal.
• Window Washing.
• Assist production team and/or service contractors as required.
• Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.
• Contributes to and supports the corporation’s quality initiatives by encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation’s quality improvement efforts.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 1 year experience as a porter/or janitor preferred.
• High school diploma or GED
• Pallet Jack & Scissor lifts handling preferred.
• cGMP knowledge
• Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading.
• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demand.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places.
• Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer.
• Occasional duties in an outside production area.
• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance and reach.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.
