Job Posting: Scheduler

The Scheduler is responsible for controlling the material requirements, schedules, and shop orders for their assigned value streams. With little or minimal supervision, this position will ensure proper material and finished goods inventory levels to meet daily and forecasted sales requirements. Will help drive the company’s lead-time and cost reduction goals through job planning activities.

You will do this by:

· Creating, expediting and reconciling shop orders.

· Updating and maintaining schedule boards for all areas of production

· Establishing and adjusting lot sizes for optimal production on manufactured parts.

· Working closely with department leaders to ensure appropriate staffing to run at maximum capacity level

· Proactively communicating with sales and customer service in responding to sales inquiries on order status or at-risk late shipments.

· Proactively driving and leading activities in Lean and Continuous Improvement to support inventory reduction and cost savings initiatives.

· Accepting and Supporting the Quality System and Safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment

· Ability to use basic math to analyze information

· Previous scheduling experience

· Knowledge with computer systems and experience with Microsoft Excel

· Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience using Epicor or (ERP)

· Lean or other Continuous Improvement methodologies

· ISO experience

Physical | Visual Demands:

· Regularly walk, stand and sit.

· Occasionally lift and or move up to 20 lbs.

· Work is performed in an office environment, with regular exposure to the manufacturing plant.

· Considerable time may be spent sitting in front of a computer screen

· Moderate noise level.

Work Environment:

· Manufacturing environment, loud noises.

· Machine Shop

· Foundry

Shift: 1st– Monday through Friday 8am – 4pm (flexible 8 hr. shift)
