  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.
  • Ability to conduct financial business case analysis / translate information into useful formats and draw conclusions
  • Retail Facilities Discipline experience preferred
  • Familiarity with business process documentation and improvement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • Able to work with technical and non-technical business owners/partners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
  • Provide business decision support and participate/lead special projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team as projects dictate
  • Able to travel up to or beyond 25% based on project work load
  • Strong written communication, specifically business document writing

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Disciplines Facilities Manager who will lead the program wide Discipline team focused on trades for continuous operations such as HVAC, Refrigeration, Building Management Controls & Emergency Planning. This position will be part of an exciting, fast moving and growing business team. The right person for this job will be an entrepreneurial self-starter with dedication to seeing projects through to the end. You will have an eye for detail and determination to turn-over high-quality work. You will be an integral part of the team that works cross-functionally between Store Design, Store Operations, Store Construction, Tech, Food Safety, and Amazon vendors. This position will closely manage and support the unique trade discipline leads of maintenance in order to ensure stores maximize equipment uptime and reliability. Critical to success is ensuring high quality and standards within maintenance processes, improvement of our trade offerings and critical program development. Oversight of vendor performance is critical. This position involves direct management and program ownership with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate must have a professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with business partners at every level, including upper management including program document writing.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage a program team with an emphasis on coaching, developing and recognizing team members to ensure safety, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Lead program initiatives that positively impact the business, internal and external stake holders and progress efficiency
  • Expand technical knowledge of department and team, through relationships and trade programs
  • Support retail/grocery initiatives with cross-business collaboration
  • Provide recommendations on future capital expenditure and required projects for the assigned region and ensure timely completion
  • Ensure root cause of issues and solutions are implemented in the region to reduce maintenance work orders and repeat issues
  • Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and value engineering to capture cost avoidance savings
  • Maintains project oversight

Exempt:
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $123,300- $166,800 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
