Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The role is responsible for the design, development, and support of the ministry’s intelligent robotic process automations as well as the curation of best practices and development of standards to support of these automations. The successful Sr. Platform Engineer - Automation utilizes their significant experience and combines a good grasp of the technical skill set with the ability to quickly understand business processes in terms of inputs, outputs and decision points. The Sr. Platform Engineer - Automation utilizes industry best practices and works across teams to promote and deliver intelligent and effective robotic processes.
Essential Job Functions
Designs, develops, documents and supports intelligent process automations across the BSMH ministry.
Understands and articulates the business rationale behind the automation and can help create and validate business case behind the automations
Communicates with all stakeholders across the IPA process including (but not limited to) I&T, Analytics, Data Scientists, ML engineers , EPIC specialists, and business
Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to design automations that are efficient and resilient to failure.
Uses BSMH’s change management policies and procedures to properly promote automations to the production environment and to understand where changes to other applications and systems could impact existing automations.
Understands and operates within the agile project management and continuous improvement methodologies
Maintains a relationship with leaders and staff across Analytics, I&T and business, facilitating sharing and implementation of lessons learned and best practices across BSMH
Participates in departmental activities relating to employee engagement.

Licensing/Certification
UiPath RPA Associate or UiPath RPA Advanced Developer (required)
Education
Bachelors, Health Sciences/Engineering/Computer Sciences/Information Systems (required)
Work Experience
5 years experience in process automation (required)
Previous technical or IT experience in healthcare (preferred)

Understanding of database design principles and SQL
Programming and scripting (VBScript, C, C++, Python, .Net, TCL, etc.)
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles
