This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Concord Township, Ohio (about 30-40 minutes east of Cleveland, OH).

Summary

Provide test engineering support for paper and automation packaging solutions. Act as liaison with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Service and Operations team. Drive strong product reliability via testing in different stage gate phases for new product launches.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper test strategy during different project phases such as functional testing, integration testing, reliability testing, regression testing and HALT testing.
  • Collaborate with NPI team to identify product requirements and testing parameters for product performance, life, environmental, safety, etc.
  • Develop and maintain DVP&R for all assigned projects.
  • Ability and understanding to test software programs (sub-module validity)
  • Produce reports, analyze data (understand MTBF, etc.), and summarize results.
  • Manage third party test facilities to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements such as UL, CSA, CE, etc.
  • Collect feedback from customers (internal and external) and provide to design engineering to continually improve product performance and reliability.
  • Responsible for keeping projects on schedule. Meet project timeline.
  • Responsible for testing of competitors’ products, new products, and new product variations.
  • Design and build automated testing systems.
  • Oversees the preparation and distribution of detailed technical reports; provide recommendations based on test data.
  • Evaluates systems; makes recommendations for updating or creating processes and procedures to increase efficiency of testing program.
  • Be part of root cause analysis team working closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality Service and Operations
  • Collaborate with global teams

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) required
  • min. 5 years of work experience
  • Prefer ability to use project schedule software such as MS Office or Jira
  • Prefer strong experience with product development testing including software performance validation
  • Prefer experience with ability to handle large data using Python or similar data analyzing software.
  • Prefer ability to use CAD software such as SolidWorks to review prints
  • SAP projects experience preferred
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication (ability to work under pressure and tight timelines)
  • Travel up to 20% to other plan sites
