The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle and resort-class amenities. TLGAC is located 12 miles from historic Savannah and offers members access to six championship golf courses, two marinas, 31 tennis courts, 11 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, eight unique dining options, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center.

Job Responsibilities:

• Enforces pool safety.
• Conducts swim lessons according to the needs of the patrons.
• Communicates with parents and students regarding schedules. Arrives on time for all lessons. Completes all lessons in a timely manner according to the agreement with the patrons.
• Answers questions about pool hours, aquatics programs, youth camp, rules, guest policies, etc.
• Establishes excellent rapport with the members of the team as well as all staff.
• Participates in regular in-service training sessions.
• Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
• Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees.
• Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays.
• Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Communicates clearly and efficiently, receives information and feedback, and takes action based on observation and information received.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior swim instruction experience is preferred but we are willing to train. Swim Instructor certification is required.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience a plus.
• High school Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Rd Cross lifeguard or CPR certification a plus

• Well-developed team skills, unquestioned confidence, and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.

• Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.

Physical Requirements:

• Swims, stands and walks for 95% of workday.
• Lifts from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 50% of workday.
• Stoops, crawls, reaches and kneels to complete work assignments.
• Works outdoors in inclement weather 90% of the workday.

Experience

• Swim Instructor certification is required

• 1 year(s): Prior swim instruction experience is preferred but we are willing to train
