SUMMARY

Support function of the CNC cutting table. The main duties would be to deburr, sand, and clean torch parts. This job would require the ability to handle plate steel materials via forklift, overhead crane, and by hand.

HOURS

7:00 am - 3:30 pm M-F

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Selects equipment and tools needed to perform the support function.
• Lay out, positions, and handles part to be cleaned in a safe manner.
• Required to label parts, skids, and organize to ensure safe handling during transport.
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and cleaning parts.
• May be required to operate, forklifts, overhead hoists, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Able to use and understand measuring instruments.
• Basic math.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc.
• Able to operate welders and other machinery with little supervision.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school

• Requires a strong, related work history.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Can work well independently and with others.
• Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly.
• Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Takes responsibility for own actions.
• Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
• Completes tasks on time.
