Job description
To develop and manage applications at the College through the effective use of web related programming and development tools.
- Develop fully functional web applications by writing clear, testable code.
- Upgrade related software with new releases and patches.
- Utilize best practices in the implementation for new web based applications.
- Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards in all programming efforts.
- Provide troubleshooting,and modification for existing web applications.
- Design and build interfaces between systems at the College.
- Collaborate with team members and end users across the College to provide support and guidance.
- Keep informed about latest industry developments.
- Ensure compliance with security principles.
- Develop technical documentation for user support.
- Utilize System Development Life Cycle concepts.
- Effectively utilize project management tools to manage workload and campus wide initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred,or commensurate work experience.
Experience:
Five years related experience.
Knowledge:
WordPress, PHP, MSSQL,HTML,CSS, Java Script/QUery, Adobe Creative Suites,and Sharepoint Database Management.
Skills
Ability to develop and debug applications in the appropriate programming languages. Advanced web design and development skills. Projet Management Skills.
Personal:
Ability to communicate both written and orally,able to work on own or with others,self motivated.
Physical:
Able to perform required position responsibilities which may require carrying boxes of forms and moving computer equipment.
Machines and equipment used:
Computers,computer related equipment,and other equipment necessary to perform job activities.
