Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a new opening with our client, a well-established Triad organization. Under limited supervision the Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing employee relations issues to include, but not limited to, investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, attendance, mediation between employees, coordinating grievance procedures in regard to employee complaints, and/or advising management on the implementation of disciplinary and performance management procedures in support of the Company’s employee relations program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of a comprehensive employee relations program for the Company
  • Interpret and communicate company regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as applicable federal/state employment laws
  • Support and advise management in the application of the Company’s disciplinary and performance management procedures
  • Investigate disciplinary actions, including but not limited to, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing pertinent materials. Recommends, prepares, and as appropriate, assists in the administration of corrective actions
  • Coordinates employee complaint and grievance procedures. Supports management in the resolution of employee complaints by conducting investigations, interpreting company polices. Formulates and recommends to management actions to resolve employee complaints and grievances.
  • Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management
  • Develops and implements programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity
  • Support the delivery of training programs to enable a performance-based culture
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study
  • 5+ years related work experience, to include, but is not limited to: Employee/ Labor Relations and Employment Law
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to travel domestically greater than 50%
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and issues
  • Communication skills within a broad and diverse audience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • License / Certifications: SHRM-CP
