ABOUT THIS POSITION: THIS POSITION WILL TRAIN IN EDWARDS BUT BY JULY 10TH, WILL BE PERMANENTLY LOCATED IN SLIDELL, LA

ABOUT US: Founded forty (40) years ago, ARS is a privately held leader in the GRADE A roofing materials in the continental US with multiple locations including Mississippi, Louisiana, Illinois, and Indiana.

SUMMARY: American Roofing Supply is looking for full-time, safe, efficient, experienced forklift drivers join our warehouse team to load and unload trucks and customer vehicles, which maintaining inventory in our yard and/or warehouse for our new location opening July 10th in Slidell, LA

Responsibilities

• Load and unload semi trucks and customers safely & efficiently.
• Treat drivers and customers in friendly, professional manner.
• Complete shipping and receiving paperwork accurately.
• Complete inspection reports on equipment.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard and warehouse.
• Assist with miscellaneous labor duties in warehouse and yard as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years experience on sit down propane forklift required.
• Knowledge of and experience handling building materials, especially roofing materials preferred.
• Possessing a high degree of organizational skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to pass physical, drug, and background checks.
• Able to work well with others and provide great customer service.
• Able to reliably show up for work each day and be on time for work.
• Flexible and cooperative attitude to work and help as needed including the yard and warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
