Description:

The Director of Maintenance reports to the Director of Facilities Operations and assists with maintaining effective and efficient management of the operation of the Maintenance Department.

Scope of Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with supervision of the maintenance staff in order to accomplish departmental goals.
• Oversee and participate in the overall preventative maintenance of buildings, equipment, mechanical systems and automobiles used within the facilities.
• Ensure that facilities adhere to all local, state and federal regulations, including but not limited to meeting the appropriate Life Safety Codes, CMS Regulations, State Board of Health Regulations and Fire Marshall Requirements.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and keep accurate reports and records for the maintenance department.
• Must work cooperatively with all departments, following established policies of the facilities.
• Must show tact and courtesy in dealing with residents and staff.

Job Requirements Include:

• Progressive maintenance experience, including some supervisory experience. Experience in a long term care facility/nursing home or hospital setting is preferred.

· High school diploma required.

· Current driver’s license.
