What do we do?

Our Mission at APC is to help patients seeking relief from pain, numbness, and tingling sensations that are often related to neuropathic pain or neuropathy, among many other forms of chronic pain. The surgery center performs pain management related procedures including injections and open surgical cases with general anesthesia.

Our clinical multidisciplinary approach to care delivers the correct intervention to each and every patient; each and every time. Our treatments are focused on improving functionality and restoring a more meaningful lifestyle. APC is seeking an ASC Manager to work in our ambulatory surgery center.

What will you do?

The ASC Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our ambulatory surgery center to scheduling of staff, keeping up with supply ordering, survey preparation, and escalated patient concerns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

  • Maintains, reviews, and optimizes clinic schedule for providers or surgical schedules. Resolves scheduling conflicts or provider openings to facilitate best patient experience and shortest wait times.
  • Oversees clinical and operations supporting associate schedules to ensure patient flow is managed timely. Manages time keeping schedules for all direct reports, or back up for a cascading supervisory leader. Submits accurate and complete timecards for associates on a weekly basis according to defined schedule. Coordinates time off requests to allow for associate rest and relaxation without negative impact to operations.
  • Manages onsite clinical and operations support associates. Coordinates initial and ongoing team training, orientation, and competencies. Manages associates concerns and questions in a professional, consistent, and timely manner. Establishes team goals and communicates performance metrics to reporting team members. Conducts onsite meetings to review important communications.
  • Appropriately manages escalated patient concerns. Reports escalated patient concerns or incidents to appropriate and relevant departments and team members. Addresses any issue to prevent future repetition of identified concerns.
  • Demonstrates leadership and appropriate management of associates, budget, operations, and issues within scope of control.
  • Recruits, interviews, and coordinates job shadows and presents candidates and staffing needs to administration. Timely reports staffing changes to HR department to ensure adequate staffing and timely backfill of open roles. Responsible to interview, select and orient new hires to their location successfully.
  • Communicates the needs of clinic and staff to appropriate senior management. Maintains all records and location specifics in accordance with applicable regulations and state law.
  • Reports and arranges for applicable required maintenance according to appropriate procedures. Obtains applicable approvals for office modifications requiring financial investment.
  • Manages associates to successful alignment with job responsibilities and addresses any issues appropriately in the progressive corrective action process.
  • Partners with Human Resources for appropriate management of gross misconduct, consistent unrectified poor performance, or escalating counterproductive behavior.
  • Manages onsite clinical and operations support associates. Coordinates initial and ongoing team training, orientation, and competencies. Manages associates concerns and questions in a professional, consistent, and timely manner. Establishes team goals and communicates performance metrics to reporting team members. Conducts onsite meetings to review important communications.
  • Responsible to ensure all clinical, operations and employment practices at the rendering facility align with applicable governing, regulatory and certifying bodies as well as internal company compliance program. Audits, reports, and resolves any deficiencies proactively and communicates with applicable Senior Management regarding complex concerns or deficiencies identified for support and input on remediating actions needed.
  • Promotes and follows compliance expectations. Ensures associates consistently meet compliance and privacy training and re-training deadlines. Maintain onsite policies and procedures compliant with expectations.
  • Reviews the batch balancing of front desk monies each day and assures the deposits are delivered to the bank timely. Immediately reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor. Facilitates in research, resolution, and prevention of issues.
  • Prepares for ISDH and accreditation surveys.
  • QA/PI, Emergency Preparedness, and Infection Control Management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • RN license in the state in which the center is located; BSN or MSN preferred
  • Perioperative and management experience required
