Under the direction of the Manager of the Small Claims / Aribration group, the paralegal will research / investigate assigned small claims and arbitration cases, contact customers / plaintiffs to discuss a fair resolutions, interact with outside counsel, draft settlement agreements, track case information, correspond with arbitration associations, and pull legal documents from research websites and vrious court websites.
This position may also work closely with attorneys, business clients and employees, as needed, on general litigation matters, including 3rd party subpoenas, class action case research, etc.

What you’ll do in your role.

• Case research: access customer account information, contact internal clients, review settlement options, if appropriate.
• Assist attorneys in managing legal matters; draft basic legal documents; may negotiate routine agreements.
• Contact customers/plaintiffs and offer fair, creative solutions
• Draft settlement agreements under the direction of attorneys
• May serve on projects as general subject matter expert related to the respective area
• Work closely in partnership with other departments as needed to establish efficiency and accuracy in process between businesses
• Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by management as needed.

The experience you’ll bring.

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting
• Associates degree preferred
• Paralegal Certificate preferred

In addition, candidates must be detail-oriented, flexible, have excellent communications skills, as well as the ability to understand complicated legal documents and to make judgment calls to ensure the accurate and timely routing of legal documents

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• California Pay Range: $37,52 - $50.76
• The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
• At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. Washington Pay Range : $38.51 - $52.10
