Overview:
Reporting directly to Branch GM with a dotted line to the Associate Director of Document Business Development, the Production Print Specialist executes on general sales, competitive analysis, marketing programs and solutions selling strategies as defined and directed by the Regional AVPs. The Production Print Specialist is responsible for both pre-sale and post-sale support of Sharp production monochrome and color print devices and related software within a specific branch or territory. This position enables and drives sales toward quota attainment and increased market share with responsibility for the motivation and growth of all Production Print pre-sales and administrative functions inclusive of educating / selling to, through, and with our branches.

Responsibilities:
  • Achieve assigned quota based on the sale of Sharp light production color/mono devices. Emphasis on growing new placements and revenue while ensuring current customer base and satisfaction.
  • Provides pre-sale and post-sale support to the branch sales staff with Sharp color products such as Hercules, Polaris office and Polaris pro production products and wide format products.
  • Supports an assigned branch that may span multiple sales territories.
  • Supports all Sharp color equipment mentioned above as well as Sharp B&W equipment 90 ppm and above. This includes customer needs analysis, demonstrations, application support and sales calls with sales professionals in a support role.
  • Trains clients on copier features, printer features, color theory, finishing devices, and possible workflow solutions for their business environment.
  • Works with designated service personnel to complete installation of associated workflow software and production-oriented finishing options. Provides training to the customer.
  • Prepare and submit required business plans, activity reports and forecasts in a timely manner
Qualifications:
  • College degree preferred or 5+ years equivalent experience in the graphics, production print market or related field in a sales organization or similar capacity.
  • Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience creating and assisting in delivery of professional sales presentations.
  • Strong understanding of print drivers, printer networking, graphics programs, color theory, web-based submission programs, print workflow software, color management and specific types of media.
  • Hardware knowledge: Macintosh and PCs.
  • Software knowledge: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Macromedia Freehand, QuarkXPress, Adobe Acrobat, PDF, Tiff and EPS formats, Microsoft Office and other programs.
  • Understand proprietary software for different RIP’s; specifically EFI and Creo Rips.
  • Working knowledge of digital automation, workflow solutions, and third-party finishing.
  • Knowledge of Fiery and Fiery tools.
  • Peripherals: flatbed and drum scanners for wide format products
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation skills).
  • 80% plus travel required.
