Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is seeking candidates for an Assistant Production Planner position for a private client in Charlton, Massachusetts in the manufacturing sector for a direct hire or temporary to permanent opportunity depending on the situation. This is a first shift, Monday through Friday opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of shop floor workflow.
• Schedule jobs and work details to achieve order delivery dates
• Open and close work packets and allocate materials to work centers
• Inventory control
• Purchasing assistance
• Progress and backlog reporting
• Oversee shipping and receiving

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment in one or more of the following areas: shipping and receiving, inventory, production supervision, and/or purchasing.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Drivers License
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs without assistance

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in a metal works environment.
• Associates Degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
