Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is assisting the Program Directors of the SABER.IRACDA postdoctoral training program with the administration of the program and the NIH K12 training grant. This includes day-to-day operational management of the training program, overseeing appointments, grant management, oversight of the SABER.IRACDA website (with assistance from the UT Health San Antonio IT department) and event planning. Experience at UT Health San Antonio and knowledge of the rules and regulations of the institution is preferred.
Job Duties:
1. Prepare correspondence and reports for the Program Directors.
2. Maintain (and create as necessary) databases pertaining to recruitment, required programmatic activities, evaluation and tracking of SABER postdoctoral Scholars.
3. Work with the Partner Institutions to provide support to postdocs during the teaching component of the Program.
4. Assist in the development of handbooks as well as recruitment brochures and advertisement banners for program.
5. Maintain content on the SABER.IRACDA website, with assistance from UTHSCSA Web services
6. Assist postdocs with registration for workshops, seminars, scientific conferences, etc.
7. Organize travel s for the Program Directors and postdocs,
8. Handle various aspects of the K12 grant account and other program accounts.
9. Assist in preparation of annual progress reports for training grant.
10. Assist in monitoring and controlling schedules as well as prepare program budgets.
11. Serve as a resource for postdoctoral trainees and liaison to other IRACDA Programs
12. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Experience:
Five (5) years related experience required.
No Supervisory duties.
