Basic Function:

Provide leadership to strengthen every aspect of quality within the company. Develop quality standards, procedures, and process to ensure customer expectations are met. Manage quality control and inspection team. Oversee compliance with quality standards across the business. Work with customers, suppliers, and production to ensure product quality. Work proactively with leaders and employees in all functional areas for continual product and process improvement to achieve quality targets and business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
• Develop a quality management system and ensure compliance
• Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, corrective actions, root cause analyses, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term counter measures
• Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
• Management of the quality technicians and quality leads in the inspection of raw materials, parts and finished goods and the resolution of internal/external quality concerns
• Report against agreed quality metrics monthly
• Reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality
• Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area
• Develop and maintain professional and ethical relationships with suppliers, customers, production and other stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
• Introduce and lead projects to improve quality across the company
• Collaborate with design team to check and set standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a quality control position
• Experience managing a quality team in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience and ability to present information to executives and communicate expectations to employees
• Good attention to detail
• Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Outlook required
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookup
• Data analysis and statistical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
