We are presently seeking qualified candidates with a local wine production facility.
Summary:
This position is responsible for maintenance of Quality Improvement Standard Operating Procedures and Material Specifications through testing and inspection. **This is a 6 - 12 month contract.**
Description:
- Inspect and assess packaging components (glass, corks, labels, capsules)
- Evaluate bottling line sanitation and monitor critical control points
- Inspect in-process and post-process packaged goods, and provide prompt and accurate feedback to bottling supervisor and line personnel
- Perform physical stability tests on finished wines
- Maintain accurate/current packaging and bottling related records
- Communicate packaging and performance issues to appropriate internal groups
- Ensure compliance with Federal requirements for printed packaging material declarations and wine container fill volumes
- Ensure that packaging specifications are current and communicated to line personnel
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in wine, food, or beverage industry preferred
- Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma experience a plus
- Ability to work in self-directed team environment
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to work varied shifts and extended hours
- Computer literacy

Salary info:
