Position Summary

Our research lab is focused on understanding the molecular basis for the benefits of sleep on cognitive function, and in the role of sleep disruption in diseases of the nervous system. The selected candidate will perform biochemistry, microscopy, and histology experiments using primary cultured neurons and/or mouse tissues. The candidate will also be asked to assist with the preparation of primary neurons for cell culture, and data analysis. The candidate will also be tasked with management of laboratory maintenance and supplies. Training in the necessary methods will be provided. Bachelors degree in neuroscience, biology or similar. No prior experience required. Prior experience working in a research lab is preferred. Prior experience working with research animals is preferred.
