Job description

The VPK Teacher Poisition is for a classroom of 4 year olds getting ready to go to Kindergarten. You will be responsible for creating a fun and safe learning environment and preparing the children for Kindergarten. As the lead teacher, you will be fostering social/emotional development as well as teaching the fundamental academic skills.

Other responsibilities include:

• Following the VPK curriculum, creating and gathering materials for weekly lessons
• Creating positive relationships with families and staff
• Communicating with parents through our Procare application on tablets
• Keeping a healthy and clean classroom, changing diapers, lifting children on changing tables

The starting salary for the VPK Teacher is $17.50 per hour. Lead Teachers must have a CDA and all VPK trainings completed. They should have at least 1 year of experience in childcare.
