Job description
The Trainer/Consultant for UCLA is part the LADCFS+UCLA Academy of Workforce Excellence (AWE) which is an ongoing contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Families (DCFS), whereby universities in Los Angeles County with master's degree programs in social work provide training to new and current employees at DCFS, particularly new hire Children's Social Workers (CSWs), current CSWs, and Supervising Social Workers (SCSWs), as well as public health nurses (PHNs), managers and administrators, case aides, and other stakeholders. Master's degree in social work or closely related field, expertise in child welfare and training (live and virtual) experience as well as strong project management skills, interpersonal, presentation, collaboration, and facilitation skills are required.Percentage of Time:

At least five years of experience in a child welfare setting; definitive knowledge of public child welfare social work practice

Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to apply it in training delivery.

Graduation from college with a major in political science, economics, public administration, business administration, or a related field,; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required
Master's of Social Work or related field.
Preferred
Possession of a valid CA Driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle during the course of performing work-related activities.
Required
Must provide own transportation to a variety of training sites throughout Los Angeles County for work-related activities.
