How YOU will make a Difference:

The Claims Analyst will work collaboratively with a team responsible for the accurate and timely handling of escalated claims processing, which consist of medical claims that HMA administers for our clients. Your role will be central in contributing to the overall operational excellence in the payment of claims.

What YOU will do:

  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on claims processing, systems and associated regulations at the local, state and federal levels.
  • Research and process complex claim submissions, coordinating with internal hospital bill review, customer care, and care management teams.
  • Manage inventory of select specialty claims across the book of business.
  • Review and consult on specialty processing activities internally and with vendor staff.
  • Support team members and be open to providing assistance when and where needed.
Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:
  • High school diploma required
  • 1-3 years of claims processing experience
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail, with high degree of accuracy and urgency
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned tasks, working independently with minimal supervision, yet maintain a team-oriented and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Experience working with multiple systems and applications simultaneously

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $54,891 - $71,473 ($26.39/hr - $34.36/hr) and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors. Performance-based incentive bonus(es) is available.
