Job Duties & Essential Functions:
In accordance with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) order that all hospitals and nursing homes “continuously require all personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19,” Candidates who are not already vaccinated must obtain the first dose of the vaccine within three (3) calendar days of acceptance of conditional job offer and must obtain any subsequent doses in accordance with the vaccine protocol. Schedule: Full time
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30 AM - 5 PM
Pay: $18.05 - $22.54

Responsibilities:
SUMMARY: The incumbent under general supervision and according to established policies & procedures is responsible for accurately and efficiently answering and scheduling patient appointments. Requires a high-level problem solving and analytical skills with the highest ethical standards. The incumbent must be self-directed and self-motivated and able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high level of productivity and accuracy.
Job Duties & Essential Functions:
- High volume appointment scheduling and phone calls.
- Schedule appointments following protocols.
- Obtain, verify and input all information accurately into scheduling system.
- Conduct insurance verification.
- Provide customer service to patients.
- Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior when dealing with patients.
- Resolve patient inquiries or escalate for solution.
- Routing calls to proper departments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 6 months of clerical experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in physician practice.
- Experience in a call center.
- Experience with an appointment scheduling system.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual in Spanish.

The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day.
