HDR is looking for an Interior Design Coordinator to join our Architecture practice in Raleigh, NC. Expectations for this role are listed below:

  • The Interior Design Coordinator title is a broad brush that covers interior design-focused employees who are not NCIDQ certificate holders.
  • Generally, this position is for individuals fresh out of college who are working to fulfill the required employment hours to sit for the NCIDQ examination.
  • This individual must demonstrate solid design thinking and strong knowledge of design fundamentals as expressed by their college portfolio.
  • They must possess good oral and written communication skills and must be able to clearly present and explain a design concept to supervisors and peers.
  • Having the ability to take direction from others and maintain a positive attitude is paramount, along with being a self-starter and team player.
  • A strong desire to learn about and progress through the interior design profession is critical.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (or a closely related field)
  • Ability to obtain NCIDQ certification in the future. This is critical for advancement to the next level at HDR.
  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and/or Rhino, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • LEED Green Associate
  • Relevant internship or full-time experience
  • Preference is given to local candidates
